Palestinian man’s body found at entrance to West Bank settlement
After initially suspecting that he was the victim of a hit-and-run accident, police widen investigation to include possible foul play
The body of a Palestinian man in his 20s was discovered Sunday evening near the entrance to the West Bank settlement of Beit Aryeh.
Police initially suspected the man was the victim of a hit-and-run accident, but evidence from the scene led them to change their minds and they began investigating the case as a homicide.
A passerby who spotted the body called rescue services; they attempted to resuscitate the man, but were too late to save his life.
Police believe the man was murdered, possibly the victim of an honor killing.
