A Palestinian man injured in an Israeli airstrike on Friday died of his wounds, medical sources in the Gaza Strip told Ynet News on Saturday.
Palestinian sources in southern Gaza reported Israel Air Force activity and explosions on Friday. The IDF confirmed that the IAF had struck open fields in the Strip.
Gaza health official Adham Abu Salmia said three people were seriously wounded when an Israeli airstrike targeted their vehicle around noon Israel time. The Air Force confirmed that it had targeted a terror cell launching rockets at IDF soldiers.
The Israeli airstrike followed an infiltration into Israel Friday morning by a Gaza gunman, who shot and killed an Israeli soldier, Golani Staff Sergeant Netanel Moshiashvili, before he was shot and killed by IDF troops.
