Palestinians clash with soldiers outside Ramallah

Disturbances also reported in Ofer Prison

Dozens of Palestinian youths threw stones at Israeli soldiers near the Beitunia crossing outside Ramallah on Tuesday afternoon, Israel Radio reported.

The IDF used tear gas grenades to disperse them. There were no immediate reports of injuries.

In further protests, Palestinian security prisoners were reported to be causing disturbances at Ofer Prison near Ramallah.

Palestinians were marking Palestinian Prisoner Day on Tuesday, with many engaged in a hunger strike.

Khader Adnan, an Islamic Jihad prisoner who went on a hunger strike for 66 days in protest at being held without charge, was due to be released from Ofer later in the day.
