Penn State fraternity targeted with swastikas
Anti-Semitic graffiti and sexual images spray-painted on cars, local police say
Swastikas and slogans were spray-painted on about a dozen cars parked outside a mostly Jewish fraternity house at Penn State in University Park, Pennsylvania last week, police said.
The graffiti, spray-painted early Friday morning, appeared to be directed at the Beta Sigma Beta house, State College Police told The Associated Press.
A garage and a dumpster also were vandalized.
Anti-Semitic messages as well as “crude sexual pictures and phrases” were found on the cars, police said according to a report in the Centre Daily Times.
“We are more worried about the message,” State College police Lt. Keith Robb told the Centre Daily Times. “The vandalism is bad enough, but we want to investigate a predominately Jewish frat [targeted] with that kind of message.”
In 2011, a Nazi flag was found on the front yard of the fraternity’s property, according to the Daily Collegian.
