Peres, Zuckerberg said set to build Facebook peace page
President also reportedly turns to Israeli producer of 'Zanga Zanga' for input
Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg and Israeli President Shimon Peres are planning to create a new Facebook page for peace, Israel Radio reported Friday. They are to discuss the endeavor in an upcoming meeting.
The page will be non-official in nature, and aimed to involve the general public.
Peres has reportedly requested the help of Noy Alooshe, the Israeli YouTube producer of the viral video “Zanga Zanga,” which depicts former Libyan dictator Muammar Gaddafi delivering a fiery speech during the Libyan uprising. The video was set to music and had a pop music feel. Female dancers were edited in and Gaddafi’s words were rhythmically dubbed to create the video’s pop vibe.
The veteran statesman is not the first to approach Zuckerberg for social media assistance. US President Barack Obama met with the Facebook leader a year ago when he unveiled Startup America, a development plan that aimed to boost the US economy and publicize new job sector incentives.
