Israeli former policeman murdered, buried in concrete in Thailand
Bangkok police arrest two other Israelis, a father and son, in connection with the killing
The body of an Israeli citizen, 62-year-old Eli Cohen, was found buried in concrete at a home in Bangkok, Thailand on Saturday, the Ynet news website reported.
Two Israelis, a father and a son, at whose home Cohen’s body was found, have been arrested on suspicion of involvement in the murder. The father is said to have a record of drug-related offences. The two have denied the allegations.
Cohen, a retired police officer who had been living in Bangkok, was reported missing several days ago, prompting a search by police.
Local officials said some of Cohen’s remains were found in concrete at the pair’s home, and some in a suitcase also discovered at the house.
The Foreign Ministry in Jerusalem said it was following the investigation and was assisting the victim’s family in dealing with Thai authorities.
