Get ready to recognize a scandal. Or rather the stars of “Scandal.” It’s the show everyone’s talking about, and four of its actors are touring the country.

The visiting quartet from the hit presidential thriller, created by Shonda Rhimes of “Grey’s Anatomy” fame, are Guillermo Diaz, Katie Lowes, Adam Shapiro and Bellamy Young. Together with Lana Parilla from “Once Upon A Time,” and Julie Walker, the art director of TV series “The Mentalist,” they are in Israel this week as guests of America’s Voices in Israel (AVI) , a division of the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations (New York).

All three TV series air on the YES and Hot channels in Israel.

The idea is to expose the group to the “day-to-day dynamics which shape the destiny of the Jewish state,” said AVI director Irwin Katsof.

On a trip through May 5 partially sponsored by El Al Israel Airlines and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the stars will be introduced to various influential folk who have made an impact on Israeli society and the world.

They will have briefings with army generals, experience Tel Aviv nightlife with local celebrities, visit Acre and Haifa, taste wines up north, see the Golan Heights, swim in the Dead Sea and spend Shabbat in Jerusalem.

If you bump into the group while they’re shopping in Mamilla and Mahane Yehuda, or strolling through Jaffa, don’t be surprised if the faces look familiar. According to Vulture.com, the entertainment arm of New York Magazine, one of the phases of being a “Scandal” fan is when “you recognize everyone on the show from somewhere else.”
