One dead, 20 hurt in Saturday road accidents
Three-car crash near Kfar Saba; collision outside Jerusalem
A three-car accident killed one man and injured seven at the Eyal Interchange outside Kfar Saba on Saturday. Eight people were reported injured.
The police said that the first two cars evidently had pulled over to the side of the highway after a minor collision, when a third vehicle slammed into them at high speed.
A 20-year-old died. Another person was seriously injured and taken to Beilinson Medical Center in Petah Tikva. Six others were lightly injured and evacuated to Meir Medical Center in Kfar Saba.
A second accident outside Jerusalem left 14 passengers injured when two service taxis collided. One person was moderately injured and the remainder lightly hurt. They were all evacuated by Magen David Adom to Hadassah Hospital in Ein Kerem, Jerusalem.
