See the Holy Land with a Backstreet Boy!

So you’ve always wanted to see Israel, but not with your family, a religious group or Birthright. Here’s a new option: Visit with a Backstreet Boy!

Israel’s Tourism Ministry on Thursday announced one of the more unconventional itineraries we’ve heard of, releasing details about a September trip hosted by Howie D, seen here dancing in formation with his former bandmates.

For the low, low price of just $3,995, diehard Backstreet Boys fans can join Howie D on a trip featuring visits to Tel Aviv, the Golan Heights, Masada and a group photo in front of the Western Wall. (The price includes airfare but not food or hotel accomodations.) It appears that the ex-boy band member will not take part in all the activities, but will participate in at least one program each day.

“As many of you know, I’ve always wanted to visit the Holy Land,” Howie D writes on the Backstreet Boys website. “I’ve been dreaming of this trip for so long and am extremely excited that it’s finally here.” (The singer appears to have been practicing his Hebrew; he greets fans with “shalom” and signs the announcement with “ahavah,” or love.)

We’re also excited for the 38-year-old singer, whose real name is Howard Dwaine Dorough. He’s never been to Israel before, but he’s done plenty of traveling lately, including multiple tour stops in South America last fall with an even better-known ’90s pop star.
