Palestinians fired shots at a IDF post near Ramallah, though no injuries were reported, the army said Sunday evening.

Six bullet casings were found at the scene, and forces were searching the area for the shooters, the army added.

From an initial investigation, the military determined that the shots were fired from a passing car.

Hours earlier, Border Police arrested a Palestinian teen who tried to enter the Tomb of the Patriarchs in the divided West Bank city of Hebron with a knife.

At a checkpoint outside the holy site, Border Police officers noticed the 17-year-old Hebron resident was trying to hide an object under his shirt, police said.
