Four casualties of Golan Heights jeep crash were soldiers
One dead and three injured in army vehicle overturning
A jeep crashed and overturned on Friday in the Golan Heights, killing a passenger and injuring three others people. All four were soldiers on their weekend leave.
Two survivors were airlifted to Rambam Medical Center in Haifa, one in serious condition the other in moderate condition. A lightly injured passenger was taken to Poriah Hospital in Tiberias for treatment.
Magen David Adom and firefighting teams responded to the scene near the Syrian border. Paramedics treated the injured and the rescue team struggled to free a passenger who was trapped inside the vehicle. The trapped passenger was declared dead at the scene of the accident.
Helicopters arrived to airlift the two seriously and moderately injured passengers to the Rambam Medical Center in Haifa.
In the coastal city of Ashdod, a 17-year-old was seriously injured and two others were lightly injured in a collision between a car and a motorcycle on Friday.
A Magen David Adom team brought the three to the Kaplan Medical Center in Rehovot. Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
