Soldier, cop hurt as driver hits them speeding through checkpoint
Army says investigation into incident in West Bank is ongoing, but it does not appear to be an intentional car-ramming

A soldier and a police officer were lightly injured on Monday when a driver hit their car while speeding through a checkpoint north of the West Bank city of Jericho, the army said.
A military spokesperson said the investigation into the incident is ongoing, but it does not seem to be a deliberate car-ramming.
The Israel Police officer and IDF soldier were sitting in a security vehicle at the checkpoint on Route 90, between the Israeli settlement of Tomer and the Palestinian village of Fasa’il, when the as-yet-unidentified driver crashed into it, the army said.
The two were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
