We continue our series Oct 7 – One Year Later with the story of Dr. Jordanna Koppel, a senior pediatric ER physician at Sheba Medical Center. On October 7th, Dr. Koppel treated patients under immense strain. Just a month later, she met with President Biden, where she shared Sheba’s commitment to treating everyone equally, regardless of race or religion.

Reflecting on these events, Dr. Koppel shares the painful reality of seeing hostages denied the same care and respect that she and other healthcare providers extend to all. Each loss, each soldier or hostage, feels like an entire world lost—leaving us, as a community, still bleeding.

Join us as we honor Sheba’s healthcare heroes, who continue to uphold compassion and humanity in the face of unimaginable challenges.
