Spring is in the air after the rainiest January on record

As snowstorms batter large parts of Europe, Sunday saw Israel basking in a mild February heatwave after the rainiest January in the history of the country. Temperatures soared to 70 Fahrenheit in Tel Aviv and Tiberias, while the more chilly Jerusalem enjoyed a moderate temperature of 55.
People thronged the sun-splashed streets making the most of the cloudless blue sky, flocking to the Tel Aviv beachfront and going out to nature to savor the early blossom of flowers.
