At least 20 men were executed by Syrian troops in the Mezzeh neighborhood of Damascus on Sunday, according to activists in the area, reported Israel Radio. The men were suspected of aiding the rebels, who have now been fighting the regime of President Bashar Assad for 17 months.

The bodies of the men, aged 20-30, were collected by opposition forces, according to Reuters.
