‘Tehran’ to return for 2nd season with Oscar-winner Glenn Close
Actress Niv Sultan reprises her starring role in the thriller TV series, which will drop May 5 on both Kan and Apple TV+
There’s a big boost of star power in Kan 11’s thriller “Tehran,” with Oscar-winning actress Glenn Close joining the second season of the award-winning series that reaches screens in Israel and the US on May 5.
In the first season, actress Niv Sultan stars as Tamar Rabinyan, a Mossad agent born in Iran and raised in Israel, who is sent back undercover to the Iranian capital to disable a nuclear reactor.
Now she appears to have even more missions to pull off, according to the 0:38 second trailer released Wednesday (see below).
“My life depends on the decisions you make,” says Glenn Close’s character to Rabinyan.
Two episodes will be released on May 5 on both Kan 11 and Apple TV+, followed by a new episode every Thursday, for a total of eight episodes through June 16.
In addition to Close and Sultan, the show stars Shaun Toub, Shervin Alenabi, Arash Marandi, and Shila Omm.
