The chart-topping electronic DJ duo The Chainsmokers made a second appearance in Israel Thursday night, with a crowd-pleasing performance in Rishon Lezion’s Live Park.
The pair performed in the same location last summer.
When Alex Pall and Andrew Taggart finally appeared on stage at 11 p.m., they opened with a video introduction, offering a mashup of their greatest hits before opening with their song “Inside Out.”
Taggart energized the crowd while Pall handled the DJ booth.
“Where are my real Chainsmoker fans at, Tel Aviv?” shouted Taggart.
The American duo performed all their greatest hits, including “Closer,” “Something Just Like This,” “Roses,” “Paris,” “Sick Boy” and “Somebody.” They also played a wide variety of covers such as “Under the Bridge” by the Red Hot Chili Peppers and The Lion King’s “Circle of Life.”
They ended the night with a crowd favorite, “Don’t Let Me Down,” and finished with a cover of “Yellow” by Coldplay.
At the end of the show, the two said goodbye, but promised to return.
“Thank you, Tel Aviv. See you next year!” said Taggart.
