Thieves strike while mourners remember
Police open investigations into robberies committed during Memorial Day ceremonies

Police were called to the scenes of several instances of theft that took place during Memorial Day ceremonies on Monday.
In Kfar Yona, several vehicles were broken into while their owners attended a ceremony in the local cemetery during the morning. According to media reports, the thieves took purses, wallets, and other valuables that had been left in the vehicles.
In Hod Hasharon, students at a local high school found that bags, cellphones and wallets had been lifted during their Memorial Day assembly.
Police opened investigations into both cases, Ynet reported.
