Three injured in Haifa drive-by shooting
One man in serious condition from gunshot wound to the chest in what police suspect was gangland violence
Three people were injured Friday in a suspected underworld drive-by shooting in the port city of Haifa.
One of the men, aged 20, suffered a gunshot wound to the upper torso and was taken to Rambam Medical Center in serious condition. The two others suffered light injuries, Channel 2 reported.
“Two of the injured suffered significant injuries, and one of them suffered a life threatening injury which was treated by us at the scene with advanced life-saving equipment in order to stabilize his condition,” Lior Malka, a Magen David Adom paramedic, said.
Police said the three had criminal records and that their estimation was that the incident was gang-related. Police opened an investigation into the incident.
