Three young men killed in car crash in the Lower Galilee
Victims' car overturned near Tamra, east of Haifa; two of those killed were brothers
Three young men from Haifa were killed Friday night in a car crash in the Lower Galilee.
The three victims’ car overturned near Tamra, east of Haifa. Two of those killed, in their twenties, were brothers.
Magen David Adom paramedic Itai Mazor said: “We found a crushed car that had turned over several times, with the three passengers caught inside. They were unconscious and had no respiration or pulse. A medical examination showed them to have no signs of life, and we could do nothing but declare their deaths.”
Hours earlier, three others were killed and three were seriously injured after Israeli and Palestinian vehicles collided head-on in the central West Bank.
The victims were a six-year-old Israeli boy, whose name was not immediately cleared for publication, along with the two Palestinian passengers in the other car, 17-year-old Ahmad Salem and 19-year-old Ziad Ibrahim Shalesh.
Initial reports indicated the crash was caused by the Palestinian car, which illegally made a U-turn into oncoming traffic on Route 465 near the Ofarim Junction.
