Mother arrested after infant found home alone

Four-year old girl, wandering the streets, leads police back to her house where they discover her sleeping infant brother

Two abandoned children were found Wednesday morning in Petah Tikva, after residents noticed a four-year old girl wandering alone along Ichilov Street and notified the police. Their mother was arrested on suspicion of child neglect.

The girl was questioned by police officers, and she led them back to her house, several blocks away, where they discovered her 3-month-old brother asleep, but with no parents to be seen.

Police notified the Welfare and Social Services Ministry of the incident and later found the mother, who was arrested on charges of neglect.
