Man gets two life terms for killing homeless people, hundreds of cats

Petah Tikva resident sentenced for 2007 killing spree

The Tel Aviv District Court sentenced Tuesday a man from Petah Tikva to two consecutive life terms Tuesday for the murder of two homeless men in 2007. The court added 10 years to Rostislav Boguslavsky’s sentence for the aggravated assault of another homeless man and the abuse and murder of approximately 500 cats.

In early 2007 Boguslavsky, then 18 and a new immigrant from Uzbekistan, went on a killing rampage that ended with two men dead and one wounded. Boguslavsky, now 23, did not know the victims and attacked them in separate incidents when they were drunk.

He was detained after confessing his acts to his father, who alerted the authorities. Police found numerous cats body parts in the killer’s apartment.

In 2009 Bugoslavsky told Channel 10 News he feels no remorse for his deeds. “I have always loved dog fights and like sadistic things, really cruel things,” said the killer.
