An internationally famous Israeli supermodel is being investigated for potential tax offenses, Hebrew-language media reported Wednesday.

The model, whose name is being kept under wraps by a gag order, reportedly spent 12 hours in questioning at the Tax Authority offices in Tel Aviv on Wednesday, during which time the entrance to the floor on which she was being questioned was blocked to the general public.

In a response to questions by news site Ynet, the Tax Authority released a statement: “We do not confirm or deny the existence of investigations.”

If charged, the supermodel would join a growing list of Israeli celebrities who have had run-ins with tax authorities in recent years.

Singer Kobi Peretz has been charged with tax evasion in an ongoing case that began in 2010 and which has yet to be decided. Moshe Peretz, another popular singer, was charged in 2013 on similar accusations. The two are not related.

Eyal Golan, perhaps one of Israel’s most popular modern singers, was convicted of tax evasion in a plea bargain last year.

Golan had also been investigated for involvement in an underage sex scandal, for which the singer’s father was sentenced to two years in prison last year.
