US Vice President Mike Pence is giving the keynote address on Sunday at AIPAC’s 2017 policy conference in Washington.
Pence, who enjoyed a long relationship with the pro-Israel lobby as a congressman and later as Indiana governor, spoke last month at the Republican Jewish Coalition’s annual confab.
Former Canadian prime minister Stephen Harper, whose government was decidedly pro-Israel during his tenure, also spoke at the confab on Sunday.
Earlier in the day, former British prime minister and Quartet head Tony Blair addressed the conference, which annually draws thousands of participants, as did Rwanda’s President Paul Kagame who became the first African leader to address the forum.
