Woman allegedly murders her mother in Ness Ziona

The battered, lifeless body of Nediva Rieber, 80, was discovered in an apartment in Ness Ziona on Sunday. The victim’s daughter, 40, was found in the next room in critical condition.

After a preliminary investigation, police said they suspected the daughter had bludgeoned her mother to death with a hammer and subsequently attempted suicide.

Paramedics declared the death of the elderly woman on the scene, and evacuated the daughter to Kaplan Hospital in Rehovot.
