A pregnant woman was rushed to hospital on Monday after she was stabbed in central Jerusalem, allegedly by her husband.

A spokesperson for Shaare Zedek Medical Center said the woman, 35, was brought to the trauma center in moderate condition with stab wounds in her abdomen and back.

“A healthy baby boy was delivered by caesarean section and both mother and baby are doing well,” the hospital said.

Police found the woman in her apartment in central Jerusalem with stab wounds.

Her husband fled, but cops arrested him after a brief manhunt. He is being held on suspicion of stabbing his wife during an argument.

Earlier this month, a 60-year-old Jerusalem man was stabbed to death in his apartment, allegedly by his wife.
