Police launched a murder investigation after a man was found stabbed to death in his Jerusalem apartment on Thursday night.

The main suspect is the 60-year-old man’s wife, who had alerted police.

She was detained for questioning.

The victim was later named as Vadim Kislav.

Magen David Adom emergency services were called to the couple’s home, on Avshalom Haviv Street in Armon Hanatziv.

They found the man’s lifeless body riddled with stab wounds and pronounced his death at the site.

“When we entered the apartment, a man of about 60 was lying unconscious, with no pulse and not breathing. He had signs of violence all over his body,” a paramedic said, according to a statement from Magen David Adom. “We were forced to declare him dead on the spot.”
