London

London is waiting for you

‘When a man is tired of London, he is tired of life; for there is in London all that life can afford,’ once wrote Samuel Johnson in a statement that is all the more true today

It is often believed that there has been a Jewish presence in Britain since the times of the Romans. Indeed there is a school of thought that claims that the native Brits were actually one of the lost tribes of Israel. Whether this is true or not, the first written evidence for Jews in Britain dates to around 1070 CE.
