It’s now been over a year since October 7, 2023. At this point, we believe it’s particularly important to share the testimonies of survivors from that tragic day, so they will never be forgotten.
The Times of Israel, in partnership with ChaiFlicks, the leading Jewish streaming video platform, present ‘Picture This’, an 8-part English subtitled video series of intimate interviews beautifully produced by Kan, the Israeli national broadcaster. Subjects include survivors from the Nova festival, a hostage freed from Hamas captivity, a first response unit commander, and more.
Starting October 13, each week veteran Israeli journalist Ben Shani meets with an extraordinary person who endured that day, to hear their story in a patient and empathetic way. Each interview will be available for one week.
The interviews are complemented by animations and illustrations from the country’s top artists, including creators of ‘Waltz With Bashir’ and ‘Where is Anne Frank?’.
‘Picture This’ is currently available only in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, due to licensing restrictions.
‘Picture This’ is available exclusively to members of our reader support group, The Times of Israel Community.
