Some of the existing resources are truly amazing and have helped to ensure that Jewish students everywhere can receive a quality Jewish education, but there is still a great deal of money being spent trying to 'reinvent the wheel' rather than trying to engage in collaborations and partnerships

Several years ago, a frustrated student of mine, who did not do well on a test, told me I was the first teacher to make him do any work; the statement surprised me a bit because he was a 10th grader who had had tests in other subjects

For parents, the start of the school year brings a sense of relief that their kids will finally be out of the house and they can go back to regular working schedules; for the students, though, the start of the school year often brings a sense of despair that summer is nearly over and a sense of nervousness

Any experienced educator would agree that it takes more than “book smarts” to be a good teacher. Teaching is not just about spitting back raw information, but is about giving the students the tools they need to succeed beyond the confines of the classroom.
