Police are investigating the cause of the incident, which they deem to be criminal in nature. Authorities are searching for the attacker.

Sunday night’s attack is the latest in a wave of violent crime plaguing Israel. A man in Netanya stabbed a shopkeeper to death on Friday, and a week prior Gadi VIchman was murdered in Beersheba after asking local teens outside of his apartment building to keep the noise down. The  following night Orgil Muati was slain in Rehovot.
