Court cuts short and cancels scheduled hearings for Netanyahu’s trial this week

The Jerusalem District Court agrees to shorten by half tomorrow’s scheduled hearing for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s testimony in his criminal trial, and cancels the hearing set for Wednesday entirely.
The court makes its decision following a request by Netanyahu’s lawyers, who said that the prime minister needs to attend a conference of senior officials in Israel’s Shin Bet domestic intelligence service.
The lawyers requested the cancellation of Wednesday’s hearing due to the scheduled visit to Israel of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
