Defense Ministry to clear mines near Sea of Galilee, Jordan Valley tomorrow

The Defense Ministry announces that it will conduct mine and unexploded ordnance clearance operations tomorrow in the areas surrounding the Sea of Galilee and the Jordan Valley in northern Israel.
According to the ministry, the work will be conducted by its Mine and Unexploded Ordnance Clearance Authority, and residents may hear explosions and see smoke as part of the planned activity.
The mines date back decades, to periods when the areas served as active military fronts during past conflicts.
