Another detained Gaza flotilla activist attacked a prison guard earlier today, the Israel Prison Service says.
The activist was being admitted to Givon Prison in central Israel earlier today when she allegedly assaulted the guard, lightly injuring her. She was treated at the scene.
The activist was quickly subdued by other guards and a complaint was filed with the police, prison officials add.
Meanwhile, police prosecutors have reached a plea deal with Spanish flotilla activist Reyes Rigo Cervilla, accused of biting a dental assistant in Ketziot Prison during a check-up ahead of her deportation, which was delayed pending legal proceedings.
Pleading guilty, the 56-year-old woman was convicted of aggravated assault and will be deported from Israel tomorrow, her lawyer says.
