Eighth and ninth Palestinians said killed in Gaza border clashes

The death toll in clashes on the Gaza border has risen to nine, according to Palestinian sources.

Sources said Ibrahim Salah Abu Sha’ar, was shot dead by Israeli troops during violent protests along the border, near the southern city of Rafah.

Sabd al Fattah Abd al Nabi, 19, was reported as the ninth fatality.

The deaths were not confirmed by the Gaza health ministry.

Reports also put the number of injured at some 1,100, mostly from tear gas and rubber bullets, though a small number were also said wounded by live fire.
