France detains six over suspected plot targeting synagogue
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleSix people are in custody and expected to face charges over a foiled attack earlier this month that allegedly targeted a synagogue in the Paris suburb of Sarcelles, the French anti-terrorism prosecutor says.
The six suspects, whose identities are not disclosed, were arrested after about 300 people were evacuated from Sarcelles on July 12 when a vehicle containing weapons was found near the synagogue.
The prosecutor says that the plot was linked to Islamic extremism.
