Haredi protesters gearing up to block highways this afternoon — reports

Ultra-Orthodox protesters plan to block roads in central Israel later this afternoon in a demonstration against the arrest of a man who attempted to evade the military draft, Hebrew media report.
Reports differ on whether the protest will begin at 4 p.m. or 5 p.m. According to Channel 12 news, protesters will likely attempt to stop traffic on Route 4 near Bnei Brak east of Tel Aviv, but have yet to announce where and when they will gather.
The protest was called after authorities on Sunday arrested a man who was found to be a draft dodger after he was stopped for failing to pay for public transportation, according to reports.
The protest would be the first major demonstration in weeks, ending a period of relative quiet over the past month that coincided with summer break for yeshivas.
