Houthi spokesman: Blockade is aimed at forcing Saudis to end siege on Yemen sea and airports

Saudi Arabia’s belief that it can maintain a siege on the Houthis is “a mistaken belief and a losing bet,” says Houthi spokesman Abdul Salam Salah.

Salah says on X that the Houthis’ own blockade is meant to force Riyadh to “fully lift the siege on Yemen’s airports and ports, to grant Yemen full rights to benefit from its sovereign resources,” and to release Houthi prisoners.
