The IDF says four soldiers were seriously hurt in fighting in Lebanon yesterday and one soldier was seriously injured in combat in the Gaza Strip.
In Lebanon, three soldiers from the elite Maglan unit were hurt in fighting in south Lebanon. According to an IDF probe, they were mistakenly hit by a shell fired by an Israeli tank.
The IDF says it is investigating the incident.
Another officer, a reservist, was wounded in fighting on the border, the IDF says.
Separately, a soldier in the Givati Brigade was seriously wounded this morning in northern Gaza.
All the soldiers were evacuated for medical treatment and their families have been informed, the IDF says.
