The Israel Defense Forces says it has carried out airstrikes against six Palestinian Islamic Jihad command centers across the Gaza Strip over the last few hours.
The IDF says the headquarters are used by Islamic Jihad’s rocket array to plan and carry out attacks on Israel.
“One of the targeted command posts was responsible for the production of rockets… commanded by Ali Ghali and his deputy, Ahmed Abu Deka,” who were killed in Israeli strikes this week, the IDF says.
Earlier today, the IDF hit four such command centers, which are located within residential buildings.
The military first warned the occupants of the buildings to clear the area before carrying out the strike, the IDF says.
