Israeli commandos nabbed a Palestinian in the West Bank city of Jenin this morning who the military says was planning to carry out a terror attack in Israel.
The suspect is Imam Hazem, the son of Fathi Hazem, who was killed while trying to stab Israeli troops in Jenin last week. Fathi’s other son, Imam’s brother Raad Hazem, is a terrorist who killed three Israelis in Tel Aviv in 2022.
Following Fathi’s killing, Imam “expressed his intentions to carry out a terror attack against Israeli civilians and security forces,” the military says.
The army says soldiers of the Duvdevan Commando Unit apprehended Imam this morning.
In a separate raid in the village of Sanur near Jenin yesterday, troops detained a Palestinian who the army says was planning a terror attack against Israeli civilians.
