Israel extends well-wishes to Baha’is on group’s holy day, notes persecution in Iran

Israel extends well-wishes to the Baha’i community, as the religious group — which counts its gardens in Haifa as one of its major faith centers and pilgrimage sites — commemorates the ascension of their prophet, known as Baha’u’llah.

The country’s official X account, run by the Foreign Ministry, praises Baha’u’llah’s “message of unity, peace, and compassion,” adding that Jerusalem is “proud that the Bahá’í community thrives in Israel.”

The post notes: “Our hearts are with the Bahá’í community in Iran, who continue to face persecution and restrictions because of their faith.”

Today, we extend our warm wishes to the Bahá’í community in Israel and around the world on the occasion of the Ascension of Bahá’u’lláh, founder of the Bahá’í Faith, whose message of unity, peace, and compassion continues to inspire millions. ????️
