Israel selects its Tokyo Olympic flag bearers

The Israel Olympic Committee selects swimmer Yaakov Toumarkin and triple jumper Hanna Knyazyeva-Minenko to be Israel’s flag bearers at the opening ceremony of the Tokyo Olympics on July 23.
“From the moment I arrived in Israel in 2012 I feel completely Israeli,” says Knyazyeva-Minenko, a native of Ukraine. “This great honor symbolizes the appreciation and respect that I feel from Israel.”
This is the third Olympic games for both Knyazyeva-Minenko and for Toumarkin, a native of Russia.
