The Biden administration has in recent weeks expressed its opposition to Israeli plans to advance a new batch of settlement homes, an Israeli official tells The Times of Israel.

“They emphasized their long-held position, but it wasn’t a threat,” the Israeli official says.

There was no threat to cancel Biden’s trip in June if the approvals went forward, a source familiar says.
