Lapid receives security briefing, tours Sderot

Opposition Leader Yair Lapid receives a security briefing from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s Military Secretary Avi Gil, according to Lapid’s office.

Lapid also tours the hard-hit border town of Sderot and is briefed on the planned evacuation of civilians by Mayor Alon Davidi.

“I came to Sderot to embrace the residents and to hear from the mayor and his people, to see how we can help in any way,” Lapid says.

“We are all together in this until we finish off Hamas and ensure a quiet life for the residents of Sderot and the Gaza border communities,” he says.
