Lapid visits Nazareth, urges Arab Israelis to vote in next week’s election

Prime Minister Yair Lapid visits the northern city of Nazareth where he meets with Mayor Ali Salem and other Arab municipal leaders, as he calls on Arab Israelis to vote in next week’s elections.
In his pitch, Lapid touts falling violent crime levels this year, after a record number of homicides among Arabs in Israel last year.
“The responsibility of the Arab society for its fate is ultimately expressed in it being part of the democracy,” he says.
He argues that if Arab Israelis do not vote, “they need to understand that what was given last year will be taken from them.”
“You’re voting for your lives, you’re voting for partnership,” Lapid says.
