Likud said seeking to delay immunity deliberations over US peace plan

Likud is considering seeking to delay Knesset deliberations next week on forming a House Committee to discuss Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s request for immunity, citing the Trump administration’s reported intention to unveil its peace plan, Hebrew media outlets report.

Blue and White sources reject any such notion, saying the plenum deliberations will move forward as planned.

Netanyahu has sought to prevent the House Committee from weighing his immunity request prior to the March 2 election, as under the make-up of the current Knesset it is all but assured of rejecting it.
