Macron did not even hear Damascus blasts, says Elysee Palace
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleFrench President Emmanuel Macron did not hear the explosions that occurred in the Syrian capital, his office says.
Macron was on his way to meet with Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa. The French president is the first main EU leader to visit the country since the fall of President Bashar al-Assad.
Reports say that explosive devices detonated near Macron’s hotel shortly after his motorcade left.
