Mistaken missile warning in Bnei Brak caused by cellular provider glitch, IDF says

The early warning of missile fire that was mistakenly sent to cellphones in the central city of Bnei Brak was caused by a glitch at the Cellcom cellular provider, according to the military.
The IDF says that maintenance work and infrastructure upgrades carried out by the provider on its network caused several old alerts that had become “stuck” in the system to be released.
As a result, an early warning of missile fire was mistakenly distributed to cellphones in the Bnei Brak area.
The military says the incident was caused by a technical malfunction at Cellcom, not the army.
