Netanyahu accuses Lapid of trying ‘to incite’ Arab Israelis against him

Opposition leader Benjamin Netanyahu takes a swipe at Prime Minister Yair Lapid after the latter urged Arab Israelis to vote for the sake of their communities.

“Today, [Lapid] went to the Arab public and tried to incite it against me,” the former premier says in a video statement.

“It was simply better,” Netanyahu argues of his time in office, using the stump speech issues of inflation and crime to bolster his political credibility ahead of elections.

While visiting Nazareth earlier, Lapid warned that if Arab Israelis do not vote, “they need to understand that what was given in the past year will be taken from them.”
